It is a popular festival in which young people go up to Consolación at dawn to watch the dance, while the bells ring in the parish bell tower. Until 1919, this festival was part of the patron saint festivities, but as San Juan is celebrated during the harvest season and farmers did not have time for celebrations, the festivities were moved to August 29, the day of San Juan Degollado. Currently, the festival is held in June for schoolchildren, who celebrate the end of the school year in this way.
